Nonstop: Giving AI Agents a Memory That Follows Them Across Tools

Built an open-source framework that gives AI agents persistent memory across tools and projects, so they never start from zero when the interface changes.

Context Re-Explained

The Problem

Builders now work with several AI agents a day, across editors, terminals and chat apps, and each one starts every session from zero. Decisions, conventions and project context have to be explained again and again, and nothing learned in one tool carries over to the next. The more agents a team adopts, the more time it spends repeating itself.

What We Built

We built Nonstop as an open-source memory layer for AI agents. It connects to the interfaces builders already use, including Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT and Codex, so an agent can pick up exactly where the last one left off. Memory is scoped per project and inspectable by the people who own it. Nonstop is also the testbed for the identity, memory and coordination ideas that power the wider Rivesa platform.

Why We Built It

"Agents are only as useful as what they remember. Nonstop exists so that context, decisions and conventions survive every switch between tools, and builders can spend their time building instead of repeating themselves."
